Me & My Sister

We're nearly Irish twins, eleven years apart... Can you see the connection??

Two nights before I was born, Kestin won me this bear at the fair :)

Pictures of Thea on October 14th

Some portraits my moms took of me.  I'm almost one month old!!  In these pictures, I'm still working back up to my original birthweight, so I weigh less than six pounds here, and as big as I look, I'm cuddled up in my mommies' egg basket!

Saturday

Me, Me, and More Me!!

My head seems so small next to Mommy's hand...

I love to cuddle up in a little ball!

Mamma's little lapful!

Aunt Carol's Visit

After Aunt Linda had to go home, Aunt Carol came to help out - yay!!

Gigi

When I was just two days old, I popped my gigi (our family's word for pacifier) out of my mouth all by myself.  Within days of that, I could grab it fairly well as I liked.  I'm tricky!

Silly Baby!

At about seven o'clock at night, I get busy!  Mamma says I do "tai chi"...  Mommy caught this pose and thought I looked like I'm flamenco dancing.  What do you think??

Another funny face :)

Dreamtime

Sleeping Sisters, Side by Side...
Kestin's on the couch, I'm in the same Amish cradle she slept in when she was a newborn.

Pics from Home...

Finally Home!

Aunt Linda met us at home, to help out as we settled in.  Thanks, Aunt Linda!

At birth, I weighed six pounds, five ounces.  By Friday, I weighed only 5 pounds, five ounces.  So, my feet were teeny tiny, and newborn clothes were baggy on me.  Moms got me a few preemie clothes and told me how cute I was :)

The doctor saw me several times the first few weeks, to check on my weight gain and health.  I spit up a lot, and gained back the weight slowly, but otherwise I'm a healthy girl!

Thursday night

That night, Mamma Cindy and Kestin drove back from Asheville to pick us up and take us back home.  Wow!!  How exciting!!

Family Rescue!  Let's go home!!

Tradition!!  When Mamma and Mommy waited for Kestin to be born eleven years ago, they ate at Panera Bread often because it was very close to the hospital.  So... on our way home that night from the hospital with me (and after an important stop at a Babies R Us to get some fun goodies), we wanted to be sure to keep with that fun tradition.  Yum!  My bottle tasted extra good in that restaurant :)

Thursday September 21st

And then suddenly, Thursday morning, the doctor came in and told me and Mommy the great news!  My tests came back fine and I was ready to go home!!

The nurse took out my IV and for the first time since my quick newborn picture on Monday, I was able to wear clothes and have Mommy hold me without gloves... and snuggle with her without the IV line getting in the way.  Yay!!  We were sooooo happy. What a relief!

Mommy says THANK YOU to all our friends & family for sending love our way that week to help keep me healthy.  :) :) :)
