Mommy & Me Time

We were stuck in the hospital, but lots of sweet nurses helped take care of us.  Mommy took some pictures of me, and that night for the first time I really looked around a lot!

One of the nurses said I deserved a special hand knitted hat, for being such a brave girl  -  what do you think??  I wear it well, eh??

Next Day, September 19th...

Mamma Cindy and Kestin gave me and Mommy hugs and kisses... and they headed back home.  Mommy and I stayed in our own room in the hospital while we waited on test results and I got special medicine...

My Day 2, Kestin's Day 1??

Thea was born on September 17th... and the very next day was big sister Kestin's birthday.  So, despite the craziness with worry about Thea's health, we had to take time to celebrate - after all, we had two amazing daughters born almost exactly eleven years apart.  A moment worth savoring!!

My first big challenge

Things seemed to be going just fine, but then the doctor told my moms that he had a health concern and needed to run some important tests.  It was kind of scary!  I had to get lots of blood drawn, a spinal tap, and have an IV put in so that I could start receiving medicine.

We kept spending time together as a family, and the hospital staff moved us to a new room where we had plenty of privacy and great care.

This picture was just after Thea was born... Here she is, nestled on her birthmom's heart :)

And here she is the next morning, with three generations of her birthfamily.  What a treasured picture!

Thea Arrives!!

Thea was born on 9/17/17 - what an incredible moment for Kestin to finally meet her new little sister!

((And would you believe, Thea was born on her G-Ma Sharon Kay's birthday??  Hence that special part of her middle name!  -We love you, G-Ma!))
